How membership works, end to end
CHF CONSULTING LLC, 505 20th St North, Suite 1220 1326, Birmingham, AL 35203.
Every screen between a stranger on the website and a paid member who has canceled, in the order they meet them.
Each picture below was taken on the live service at velvetrope.us, walking one application from the first visit through to cancellation. The account used is a sample account. Its photographs are generated placeholders and its identity document is a drawn rectangle marked SAMPLE DOCUMENT, so no real member's face, name or document appears anywhere on this page.
Two things said plainly, because a walkthrough is worth nothing if it overstates itself. The checkout page at step 17 is the real one, opened by the sample account against the live account, and no card was entered on it. The active membership at step 18 is the screen a member sees once a subscription is running, and it was produced by marking the sample account active rather than by taking a payment.
Two controls were added to the live service after these pictures were taken, so they are not in the pictures below. The website and the app now ask a visitor to confirm they are 18 or older before anything else is reachable, and both answers are photographed at velvetrope.us/compliance/age-verification. And the controls this club operates against non-consensual involvement, meaning a profile created without the consent of the person it shows or imagery published without the consent of the person in it, are set out in full at velvetrope.us/compliance/non-consensual. Steps 11, 12 and 15 below are where a reviewer can watch most of them happen.

What is sold, and what it costs
The Velvet Rope is a private introductions club. A lady lists a profile for $19.99 a month. A gentleman is vetted and then takes one of three annual or monthly memberships. Both are recurring subscriptions, and both price and renewal are stated before checkout.

Opening an account and applying
There is no password. A member gives an email address and is sent a six digit code. Nothing is charged at this point and no card is asked for: the application comes first.

Verification before anybody is charged
Every application is reviewed by a person. The ID is compared to the photographs, the agreement is checked, and a short verification call is made to the number given. Only then is the applicant allowed to pay.

Choosing a membership and paying
Payment happens on Stripe Checkout. The price, the billing period and what the membership includes are on the screen before the button is pressed, and again on Stripe's own page.

What the member receives
A live membership opens the gallery and the encrypted message suite, and lists the member's own dossier to the other side of the club.

Writing to a member, and signing out
One sample conversation, start to finish, between two sample accounts on the live service on October 7, 2026: the gentleman Ballboy and the lady Ondine, whose dossier was built in chapter Two. A gentleman writes first. Letters are sealed on the sender’s phone to the other member’s device, so the club’s servers hold only ciphertext. When either member signs out, every conversation that member was part of is deleted from the server for both sides, and the device key that could open it is discarded.

Canceling, closing and the policies
A member can stop renewals from inside their account or from a public page that needs no session to read. Cancel stops the next renewal and leaves access to the end of the period already paid for. Close stops renewals and ends access the same minute, and asks for a typed confirmation because it cannot be undone.
